The Spitball Poems

Walking Poems for U Street

A cycle of poems intended to be read and performed while exploring the U Street neighborhood. Originally written for the 2017 exhibition SPITBALL—an evolving installation of maps, paintings, and choreography in collaboration with neighbors Katherine Tzu-Lan Mann and Kristin Hatleberg—the poems remain available on demand by stopping by Future Cartographic’s headquarters on 9 1/2 Street NW in Washington, D.C.
