Description

Oral Histories of Washington, DC’s U Street in the 20th Century curated by Seshat Walker are paired with speculative fiction about the 23rd Century by Erik Moe. The latter inspired by his walks and conversations with present-day inhabitants. Includes a full-color speculative map based on the stories. The project began with a site-specific art installation commissioned by Funk Parade which consisted of colorful phone booths by Alex Braden in which stories near each phone booth location could be heard.
